The Center For Hope Hospice & Palliative Care bereavement services, which are available to all, takes survivors through a step-by-step journey toward
reassurance, understanding, acceptance and healing. The bereavement program continues for up to 13 months following the death of a loved one.
Survivors can participate in the Center's "Journey Through Grief" lecture and discussion series which addresses issues such as anger, guilt, survival and healing over a period of
six weeks. In addition, family members have the opportunity to join "grief-related" groups that offer support for the specific needs of widows, widowers, parents or children. Individual counseling is available for all situations.
Children of all ages receive particularly careful handling within the Children's Bereavement Program. The age of the children and their involvement with the patient during a terminal illness are major
considerations in determining what kind of support will be most helpful.
